Iranian lawyer takes a dry hunger strike in prison on Bahareh Hedayat

RFE / RL, 9 December 2010 - The renowned human rights lawyer and women's rights activist Nasreen Soto entered the third year in a hunger strike. This was announced by her husband, told Radio Farda by RFE / RL.

On 7 December Reza Khandan told Radio Farda that his wife her [dry] hunger strike has taken back because their demands were not met. Contrary to the promises made by the judge at her first trial was their temporary detention and extended their application has been refused release on bail.
